Alexander Technique boosts your awareness – how you are. It allows you to move in a lively way with ease and grace as well as let you realise your true ability. Our body has directions – our heads tend to go forward and up (away from your back), back to lengthen and widen, knees are forward and away from your hip joint and heels go down(supporting us from the ground). They are natural impulses which all animals have in their body and this is the mechanism which works against gravity. This mechanism is meant to support us to be upright without any sense of effort so that we can move easily without stiffening and having pain in our body. But over time many people develop harmful habits which interfere with these natural processes and which can be the root-cause of problems which manifest as, for instance, back-ache, stiffness, tension or stress.
Alexander Technique helps you to realise how much tension you have, how to release it and how to reorganise yourself in order to use yourself in the way you want. In the course of lessons, people gradually refine and utilize the relationship between head and neck which affects all our functions. You get stronger, you become both more relaxed and more alert, and aches and pain fade. You become more confident, have more stamina and think more clearly.
