Yoshi was born in Japan, and started his career as a medical doctor (neurologist). Soon, Realised he wanted to concentrate to music, he moved to London to take to study bassoon at the Royal Academy of Music where I encountered the Alexander technique. Trained with Peter & Ellie Ribeaux, He has been practicing in London for the last 13 years.
He is a keen chamber musician, and recitalist directing a bassoon & string chamber group-‘BassoonStringendo’.
He is also interested in music education, and teaches Alexander Technique & woodwind instruments.
He teaches at Kingston Grammar school and Trinity College of Music (London), as well as two Alexander technique teachers’ training schools both in UK and Japan.
